Nyome Nicholas-Williams , a plus-size model, writer and activist hailing from south London, has been an outspoken advocate of body positivity since she started modelling in 2016.
After making her first TV appearance on BBC News to discuss inclusivity in the fashion industry in 2017, Nicholas-Williams continued being a positive role model for other underrepresented bodies and people in the industry by continuously speaking out against unrealistic beauty standards, most recently penning an open letter to London Fashion Week for Glamour Magazine UK challenging the lack of diversity on the runway. As a model, she’s worked with brands including Dove, Vogue Italia, adidas, Getty, TK Maxx and Boots, and continues to post body-positive images and messages to her followers during lockdown.
